This song took us to the jazz-rock fusion end of our musical spectrum. A cool west coast jazz vibe emanates from this piece (or something along those lines). The accompanying video augments this vibe very intentionally. The title is a paraphrase of the classic cool jazz standard “Take Five”. And “The Five” of course is a major highway in California.

Jeff’s pinpoint walking bass and Ray’s energy and adaptability come to the fore here. Marc’s performance is done entirely on his Yamaha CP-70 Electric Grand Piano.

Additional parts do exist for this song but this being a true live performance by a three piece group, it wasn’t possible to play them. A full version is expected sometime in the future, with Marc playing the additional parts as overdubs.
